ExpressLRS is an affordable open source RC system that offers ultra low latency and long range. In this tutorial I will show you how to setup ExpressLRS 2.4GHz transmitter module and receiver on OpenTX/EdgeTX radio and Betaflight, and how to flash/update the latest ELRS firmware.

There are many manufacturers making receivers and transmitter modules for ExpressLRS. You need to know the brand and model of the hardware in order to flash firmware. Flashing the wrong firmware might brick the device.

Most modules such as the BetaFPV TX module are plug and play when flashing via USB. However some earlier modules like the Happymodel requires an extra step for UART flashing to work. On the TX module board, there are 6 jumpers, by the default the middle two are bridged. When flashing via USB/UART, you should move the jumpers down to the bottom two pins.

For receivers with WiFi built-in, you can flash firmware via WiFi, just like flashing the TX. But personally I found using Betaflight Passthrough easier for flashing RX, and I will demonstrate it here.

If for whatever reason you bricked your RX, which could happen if you lost power or connection during flashing, you can bring it back by flashing via FDTI: -start/receivers/hmep2400/#flashing-via-ftdi.

I am having trouble flashing my jumper t18 and my happy model ES24_Pro_series_tx, I had no problem a week or so ago flahing both my radio and modual,I just bought a Flywoo 2S firefly and flashed that with no problem, COM 3,I get a Failed to connect to ESP32, The last thing it said was com1, and that error,

For the 5V fan connection, could you connect the fan wires to the ground and 5 volt pins in the module bay that power the module? If so, does voltage become present when external module is selected in the model menu?If this is the case, it might be easier to connect to these points via the ELRS pin receiving socket as opposed to trying to solder to the point that you did on the board.?

What the heck? Pretty disappointed. I have good LQ signals and readouts on a different EP1 flashed with the exact same build. I also had good LQ readout on a Happy Model ELRS 5in1 board for the 1s Whoop setup.

Enrolling a device into SEMM affects how you can manage it. For example, after you apply a SEMM package, all UEFI settings are unavailable (locked) in the device's UEFI menu. Default values for other settings such as IPv6 for PXE Boot are also unavailable.

A USB flash drive that contains a Windows 10/11 Pro or Enterprise image. This option will not have Wi-Fi available until after out-of-box-experience (OOBE) setup. Once setup is complete, install the required Surface Hub 2 drivers and firmware for Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise on the device.

The following steps show how to create a USB flash drive from installation media and then add the SEMM package files and the drivers and firmware for Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise OS on Surface Hub 2 MSI file. If you use another deployment method, go to the Update UEFI on Surface Hub 2S to enable OS migration section of this article.

Copy the SEMM package files and the drivers and firmware for Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise OS on Surface Hub 2 (the MSI file) to the root of the USB flash drive (BOOTME) that contains your Windows 10 image. The BOOTME USB drive will contain:

It depends how you define build quality. For example, less dense plastic can look cheaper but can sustain a fall better. Plastic can look worse than metal, but can be molybdenum infused and has its place in certain products (not flashes obviously but you get the point).

When starting/restarting, for several minutes there is no noticeable activity. Then there is a loud spinning sound similar to a fan motor and is reaching its maxiumum RPM.Sound slowly goes away.A blue screen appears on monitor with option to either select 'Windows' or 'Recovery'.Once 'Windows' is selected, and the unit starts back up at Windows menu and runs flawlessly (until next time).

The HP Business Desktop systems provide a BIOS upgrade option through both the Startup Menu and the F10 Setup utility using the "Flash System ROM" feature. Reboot the PC and press the Escape key to display the Startup Menu. Use the arrow keys to select Utilities, and then select the Flash System ROM option. Alternatively, reboot the PC and press F10 to access the BIOS Setup utility. In the File menu, select Flash System ROM. Either method requires that removable media be present (USB storage or data CD) that contains the BIOS binary image file in the root directory. The binary image file can be found in the DOS Flash folder and is named xxx_MMmm.bin where "xxx" is the BIOS family, "MM" is the major version number, and "mm" is the minor version number. To create a CD for updating the BIOS, use a blank CD-R or CD-RW disk on a system with a CD-RW or DVD+RW drive, and write the binary to the disk using any CD-burning software (Windows 7 and Vista support burning data CDs without additional software). If a BIOS Setup password has been set, the password will be required before being able to access the "Flash System ROM" menu. The user is notified when the process is completed. The new BIOS code will not take effect until the PC is restarted.

To program the bootloader and provide to the microcontroller the compatibility with the Arduino Software (IDE) you need to use an In-circuit Serial Programmer (ISP) that is the device that connects to a specific set of pins of the microcontroller to perform the programming of the whole flash memory of the microcontroller, bootloader included. The ISP programming procedure also includes the writing of fuses: a special set of bits that define how the microcontroller works under specific circumstances.

The whole process of loading the bootloader code and burning properly the fuses to make an ATmega microcontroller an "Arduino" is managed by the Arduino Software (IDE): it provides a specific menu item and allows you to use a variety of programming devices.Among the programmers, the "Arduino as ISP" is the cheapest and most practical solution to burn a bootloader on another Arduino board with ATmega, 32U4 or ATtiny.

Select the item in the Tools > Board menu that corresponds to the board on which you want to burn the bootloader (not the board that you're using as the programmer). See the board descriptions on the environment page for details.

The ActionScript programming language allows the development of interactive animations, video games, web applications, desktop applications, and mobile applications. Programmers can implement Flash software using an IDE such as Adobe Animate, Adobe Flash Builder, Adobe Director, FlashDevelop, and Powerflasher FDT. Adobe AIR enables full-featured desktop and mobile applications to be developed with Flash and published for Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and Nintendo Switch.

Developers could create Flash web applications and rich web applications in ActionScript 3.0 programming language with IDEs, including Adobe Flash Builder, FlashDevelop and Powerflasher FDT. Flex applications were typically built using Flex frameworks such as PureMVC.[21]

The Flash 4 Linux project was an initiative to develop an open source Linux application as an alternative to Adobe Animate. Development plans included authoring capacity for 2D animation, and tweening, as well as outputting SWF file formats. F4L evolved into an editor that was capable of authoring 2D animation and publishing of SWF files. Flash 4 Linux was renamed UIRA. UIRA intended to combine the resources and knowledge of the F4L project and the Qflash project, both of which were Open Source applications that aimed to provide an alternative to the proprietary Adobe Flash.

In the same year that Shumway was abandoned, work began on Ruffle, a flash emulator written in Rust. It also runs in web browsers, by compiling down to WebAssembly and using HTML5 Canvas.[110] In 2020, the Internet Archive added support for emulating SWF by adding Ruffle to its emulation scheme.[111] As of January 2023, Ruffle supports 90% of AVM1 and 60% of AS1/2 APIs, but implements so little of AVM2 (AS3) that no applications are supported.[112]

Like the HTTP cookie, a flash cookie (also known as a "Local Shared Object") can be used to save application data. Flash cookies are not shared across domains. An August 2009 study by the Ashkan Soltani and a team of researchers at UC Berkeley found that 50% of websites using Flash were also employing flash cookies, yet privacy policies rarely disclosed them, and user controls for privacy preferences were lacking.[179] Most browsers' cache and history suppress or delete functions did not affect Flash Player's writing Local Shared Objects to its own cache in version 10.2 and earlier, at which point the user community was much less aware of the existence and function of Flash cookies than HTTP cookies.[180] Thus, users with those versions, having deleted HTTP cookies and purged browser history files and caches, may believe that they have purged all tracking data from their computers when in fact Flash browsing history remains. Adobe's own Flash Website Storage Settings panel, a submenu of Adobe's Flash Settings Manager web application, and other editors and toolkits can manage settings for and delete Flash Local Shared Objects.[181]

To keep the software updated to the current version, we recommend that the Automatically check for update or Automatic software download option in the TV menu be set to On. When that option is turned ON, a notification message will be displayed when the TV receives an update.
